The Needle of Dent du Géant is clearly visible from both the viewing platform of Aiguille du Midi and the Italian "Skyway." This prominent peak marks the start of the Rochefort Ridge, which then transitions into the Gran Paradiso massif. This ridge is dotted with peaks over 4,000 meters high, each of which is a worthy objective.

Dent du Géant, also known as the Giant's Tooth, is the closest peak to Torino Hut. The summit is extremely popular, and the route is often crowded. For this reason, I suggest spending the night at the hut before the ascent and then being among the first climbers to tackle the key part of the route.

Climbing the Giant's Tooth is an exciting adventure in itself. You can add a bit of challenge by veering off to the corners to the right of the ropes, which can help you avoid potential queues but will require a good level of rock climbing skill. Climbing the Giant's Tooth is beneficial before attempting the Matterhorn - it provides acclimatization, practice with vertical ropes, and unforgettable experiences all in one go!

An experienced mountain guide takes on all the burdens of route selection, safety provisions, and navigation. All that's left for you is to absorb the experience, enjoy rock climbing, and admire the views.
